November 10, 2021Drum Country, N.Y. – Drum Country NY has launched a new marketing campaign and revealed its new tagline: LET’S MEET.
We are excited to announce the new marketing campaign: Let’s Meet. The primary goal of the LET’S MEET campaign is to encourage business expansion in the region, draw new business and industry, and attract and retain a skilled and diverse workforce. The campaign is highlighting the best assets of the region and includes messaging such as LET’S MEET outdoors, LET’S MEET opportunity, LET’S MEET growth, LET’S MEET industry, and more.
The Drum Country, New York, region encompasses Jefferson, Lewis, and St. Lawrence counties in north-central New York State. This is a multi-sector economic and workforce development partnership created to help prospective Drum Country employers access the information, resources, and incentives needed to make our location their best asset.
We encourage everyone, both businesses and individuals, to follow the newly developed social media channels below. This will offer frequent updates and news on assistance, unique programs, and what truly makes Drum Country a great place to be.

Building off the region’s home to several institutions of higher education, Drum Country is actively seeking to employ and retain recent graduates, as well as welcome back those that might have left. To attract entrepreneurs and a vibrant workforce, Drum Country is launching a comprehensive digital and print marketing campaign including a strong social media presence across the platforms of Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.
“Drum Country encourages our graduates to take their skills and directly apply them in ways that will secure the economic future and vitality of our region,” says Dr. Ty A. Stone, President of Jefferson Community College.
Drum Country is situated in a prime location in New York state, in close proximity to seven of the top 10 U.S. markets and to 60 percent of Canada’s population. The region’s rich and abundant natural resources provide the perfect conditions for key industries to thrive. These target industries include manufacturing, food processing, renewable energy, finance, insurance and real estate.
Fort Drum, the largest military installation in the Northeast, is the heart of Drum Country’s culture and economy. It is home to the Army’s 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry). Fort Drum employs more than 6,058 area residents. As a result, it also has an annual impact of $1.88 billion. Less than an hour’s drive north of Syracuse and bordering Lake Ontario, the St. Lawrence River and the Adirondack Mountains, Drum Country is a prosperous region rich in character and opportunity for economic development and growth.
